really? ouch. $100? And I thought the $80 for Spore was bad.

1) Spore- Only lasted for a week. Incredibly shallow and dissapointing. Which reminds me that I need to uninstall it.

2) Gears of War 2- Multiplayer has more problems than Demigod.

3) Destroy All Humans! Path of Furon- Bought this mediocre game instead of HAWX.

1) SPORE.
Man I was looking forward to this game - I could have forgiven all the short comings of all the stage if Space stage had of been what was promised. They're now releasing expansion packs adding in all the features that were taken out of the game.

2) Command and Conquer - Tiberium Wars on Xbox 360.
I thought maybe an RTS would be ok on the next gen consoles. Man, was I wrong.

3) Heroes of Mana on Nintendo DS.
Great RTS game, except they left out the little things like unit control and strategy. It was kinda pretty, though.

ahahaha unit control and strategy. lol

Spore was such a huge disappointment, and that whole "Cute and Creepy" expansion pack, wtf was that? Ugh. huge waste of the $10 creature creator and huge waste of $80 for the collector's edition, sry, I learn my lesson the first 2 times. Ain't buying anything for Spore anymore!

........... you know.. I'm starting to think they took out all those features just so they can milk the cow with expansion packs..

  1. Age of Empires III
  2. Star Wars Glaxies
  3. Comand and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars
  4. X3 Terran Conflict (fun but takes forever so I put it on the list)
  5. Civilization IV Colonization (sounded like a great complicated version, omg it epcily fails.)

I'm surprised at people slating C&C3 - great game IMO. Ive always loved the Tiberian universe and this was, although not everything I was hoping for, a good return to the roots of the series and a fun game in its own right.

Worst 3 purchases I've made:

1 - Global Power - dear God, why did I buy this awful spreadsheet collection? So, so awful in every possible way.

2 - Master of Orion 3 - much the same as #1. Awful collection of numbers and totally without a soul or any sense of fun. GalCiv shows how these games should be done.

3 - Darkstar One - my old pc couldn't run it, and my new one is running 64-bit Vista - DS1 won't run on 64 bit operating systems and they refused to patch it to make it do so! Paid about £25 and have never played it.

AOEIII but then it was my fault, I hate RTS as you end up having to "beat the AI" in terms of speed, and minimal to zero chance of original thought. So called "strategy" goes out the window in RTS - and you end up with a poor-man's substitute for what strategy is really about.  In my mind RTS is just a frilled up "shoot em up", and just as pointless.

Many said they liked it, and why, so I thought "hey why not, so many cant be wrong".

They were, I loath the dam thing.

Zy

Any game based on a movie with the same name + "the videogame" in the title. I can't stand those!

awe really? I was debating on wether or not to get it... what was wrong with it?

May 9, 2009 1:48:47 PM from Demigod Forums Demigod Forums

Mine would be... (I'm only listing PC titles because there's too many PS2 games that I regret buying.)

1. Mirror's Edge. 50 bucks for a 7 hour singleplayer and a lame time trial? No thanks. Although the graphics were very impressive some of the best I've ever seen.

2. Dawn of War and all of it's expansion packs on Steam. Ugh, I don't even want to think about how much money those all cost.... I regret it.

3. Buying the CE of Spore. I should've bought the regular edition. I admit though, that CE case and contents are nice... but uh... the game itself wasn't even worth 50 bucks. So 80 dollars wasted there. Spore for 20-30 bucks would've been worth it.

What's with all of the AOE3 hate?

lol cuz AOE3 sucked balls. We should not have gotten it. UGHHH Demos give such a false sense of curiosity.

Dawn of War is great with the exception of Soul Storm (the dark eldar things sound like Howard Dean when they jump over stuff)

I think regret getting my wii. The only good thing about it was the VC since my NES broke years ago and, although I loved the SNES, I never owned one. But my N64 still works perfectly.
