Can't play online - 'A player has left the game'

By on April 17, 2009 9:38:58 AM from Demigod Forums Demigod Forums

I get into the game and then in the first second of the game my network connection drops and I get a "A player has left the game" message and all the PCs get taken over by AIs (AKA I was the one that dropped).  I have to reboot before I can get back on to the internet.  What bugs the hell out of me is I didn't have connection problems in the Beta.   Why is the game now sending so many packets so fast that my ISP (Verizon) is disconnecting me for DoS attacks?

I have no problem playing any other game, my drivers are up to date, I have DMZed my computer, what do I do now?

I've got the same problem. However, most the time I don't even make it that far. Usually I get the "NAT Facilitator Error" and extreme game freezes (like taccyp: https://forums.demigodthegame.com/347206).

Sounds like it could be the same problem i am having aswell (huge amounts of upload = dropped) though personally i don't get the connection terminated. I always like to be sure though...have you run a bandwidth monitor to see just how much your consuming? Cold figures are much better for convincing people. Not that i don't believe you, suffering with it myself.
