Demigod Origins: The Torch Bearer

By on March 3, 2009 1:33:51 PM from JoeUser Forums JoeUser Forums

The next installment in the Demigod short story is out today, titled Demigod Origins: The Torch Bearer.  This is a series of short stories about the Demigod origins which can be found exclusively on Voodoo Extreme.  In case you missed the first one, you can check that out here first.

“In the Winter realm of the Vinlings, Hrundel Lightbearer was born to Queen Frythia Fair Frost. Messengers brought word of the birth to King Hungarling, who had been away from his hearth for seven years, adventuring with his army beyond the Northern Frontier. Returning to his kingdom, he drowned his wife in her bath and put the men of her coterie to the sword. The infant, however, was a creature of such purity and beauty that he could not bring himself to kill it, and resolved instead to raise the boy as his own.”

Just to be "that pedantic guy":

Courtesy of Stardock Games, Gas Powered Games, and Tinsley-PR, Voodoo Extreme exclusively presents Demigod Origins: The Torch Bearer, a short story introducing the eponymous stone giant.

  1. The Torch Bearer isn't a stone giant.  I guess they're still thinking of the Rook?
  2. Someone needs to get out a dictionary and look up "eponymous".  I do not think it means what they think it means.

  Other than that, well done.
