Mrs. Reagan married Ronald in 1952 and went on to became a First Lady in 1981-1989. They had two children together. She was born in New York City. As Nancy Davis, she was an actress in Hollywood in the 1940s and 1950s, starring in films such as The Next Voice You Hear..., Night Into Morning, and Donovan's Brain.
Nancy devoted most of her time to caring for her ailing husband, diagnosed in 1994 with Alzheimer's disease, until he died at age 93 in 2004. Nancy Reagan remained active within the Reagan Library and in politics, particularly in support of embryonic stem cell research, until her death.
