This one's originally decades older...but all the same...if you want someone banging skins.....
Another in my Top Ten...
Ten Years After with Alvin Lee... a most underrated guitarist with lightning fingers and an unrivaled rock n' roll scream.
Too Rolling Stoned Robin Trower... a rock classic
Blodwyn Pig - Cat's Squirrel - All Said and Done.
Adge Cutler & the Wurzels - Twice Daily.
A description not necessary
Don't care what anyone says, Roy Buchanan was the greatest guitarist to ever walk the Earth. Sadly, he was arrested for drunkeness and died prematurely in a jail cell, thus ending a brilliant period of rock/blues history.
Not the best sound quality, but some of the best guitar gymnastics you'll ever see/hear.
I saw Roy Buchanan on both occasions he came to Brisbane.... both concerts were toatally spellbinding and enthralling.... simply the best.
One for Starkers.... a mate of mine...
Jeff Back with Rod Stewart... Ol' Man river.... looking at the accompanying photos, one will notice a young Ron Wood, now of the Rolling Stones
Jeff Beck with Beth Hart... Goin' Down. This Gal has one heck of a set of pipes
Joe Bonamassa & Beth Hart - Sinner's Prayer. More from the great Scot's awesome pipes
Couldn't leave without posting this.....
TedeschiTrucks Band.... The Sky is Cryin'.... an early Fleetwood Mac hit. Susan Tedeschi is not only a great singer with great pipes, she can wield a pretty mean axe as well.
I heard someone once say: "Bitches can't play the axe." I beg to differ, this gal surely can.....
There are some great vids here, I especially like the Blues and have been playing blues harp (harmonica) for 40 years now. Damn that is a long time, I should be better than I am.
Another genre I really like... the heavy metal ballad.
Judas Priest.... Before the Dawn. Robert Halford's vocals are so haunting... they almost take you there, to what he's feeling.
Not the usuall Black Sabbath fare but still a great tune nevertheless.
Another Heavy Metal Ballad... Accept - Can't Stand The Night.
Udo intends for you to feel every bit of pain he does... very highly emotive vocals/lyrics
Monika Agrebi with the same song... also highly emotive
And no song list with emotive vocals is complete without this....
