demigod - an obituary to a tower defence game

By on March 28, 2012 4:25:54 PM from Demigod Forums Demigod Forums

my dear friends and family members, we have assembled to remember a game that has passed away. its name was demigod and it was a good game. it had lots of strategy in it, it was fascinating, it was exciting, it was tons of fun. but it went the way of all earthly things, it got old and died.

this is what the doctors diagnosed:

it always has the same 3 games available, but it is always the same three names, waiting for a noob to stomp.

it is not possible to get a game without waiting for at least half an our. when there are finally 6 players in a game, there will be a discussion about balancing, it will never be considered fair, then at least one player leaves. often enough, this is me, because i like interesting games with a chance to win, not 60 games played total against 2500 games played total.

finally, for some strange reason, a game gets started, about every 3 evenings. one team will have the worst sedna ever, another player ragequits or makes the game not count.

for that reason i have to declare demigod to be dead. yet its vitals shall be donated to a younger game, which by that means shall have te possibility to live. dear gas powered games, please make a new demigod. make it as good as the old one (except that regulus could use some damage, or make him a general). but make it public that it exists, so it will be played. make it free to play and sell useless items for a living, because any given FtP game has bazillions of players, though they suck rump!

i enjoyed demigod a lot, for the short time that i had it reanimated by a friend of mine. but now it is as dead and useless as a yo-yo without cord. i hate to see such a jewel abandoned, so please do something about it!
