I figured I would be better if I make a seperate thread to post updates on the platform.
I can't commit to post all updates here forever but will try to do so for the time being.
Hope this is fine with the admins. If not feel free to delete the thread.

Bug/Features implementations update as of Feb-8-2011:

Some highlights, things some of you specifically asked for:

  • Darliath: you wanted a way to manage emails sent to you when people are posting on your lounge or inviting you to their friends list: this has been implemented is can be found under Privacy settings as per screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/users/Awillys/folders/Jing/media/aba24491-5c44-4d53-b239-ca241ac43a45
    It's straight forward: "allow" means you will get the email / "not allow" means you wont get emails.
  • pacov:
    • time zone setting when creating a tourney etc...: this will be done next week. it takes circa 4 days of a single developer! This change will allow you set date and times in your own time zone. it then saves everything in the database in GMT and present it to people in their own timezone. Not sure if i am clear but it's going to make your life easier basically. Your default date and time zone will be as per what you set in your "About Me" page so make sure you got that right. http://www.jeelounge.com/pacov/user/aboutme/
    • Cancel a tournament: we have made the feature more obvious by placing a button on the tournament details page: http://www.screencast.com/users/Awillys/folders/Jing/media/4e7a9989-da62-42ca-8f14-c7a23b78b8ac
    • edit start date and time: has been added to the tournament edit view
      we also added the option to edit the sponsors. I realise we havent put the checkin time. If it's really needed then will make it also available in the edit form.
    • replay edit/delete: the guys have been busy working on that and it will be uploaded tomorrow or Friday
      it will basically work like the tournament archive. Event replays (http://www.jeeplays.com/replay/search/1/event_replays: the one uploaded from JeeSports) will be editable only by admins

Lots of other stuff have been fixed/added.

New Feature released: Recruitment.

Recruitmenht is a new feature we have that lets clan managers post recruitment ads.

Players can do the same and let clans know that they are looking for a clan.

This feature works for any game and platform.

I will post more info about it tomorrow.

Okay. Kira, you had a guide posted somewhere. I suppose I should translate it into Russian, otherwise we are excluding a huge DG population sector from active participation.

My new hobby on the forum will be posting incorrect information regarding McShane and seeing how long it takes for him to respond to me with three paragraphs and a replay. 

I am posting this here because I am assuming he will not read this and so the rest of the forum will be in on the joke (until someone tells him, a pox on you).

Lol, it'll take a day or two at the most. I don't play as much anymore but I still see what's going on around here.  Has anyone noticed that demigodthegame.com/opengames.asp seems like it actually tells you how many people are playing now? It used to be some random inflated number.

ah - you mean for the players online number?   Yeah.  I think maybe they changed some setting a bit ago that made it just show players that were logged into dg... i think it maybe have been folks that owned demigod and were logged into impulse before.  Not really sure, tbh.  But it looks like you are right - it at least seems like it might be the number of folks logged into dg MP.

not sure where you are but you should probably stop if you aint that far. my wife kind of translated everything in russian.
