Worth buying?

By on June 22, 2010 8:11:19 PM from Demigod Forums Demigod Forums

Hi all!

I really lika Dota, LOL etc. and Demigod seems to be a nice alternative. The thing that keeps me from buying the game is the talk about how hard it is to find games and how people spend hours trying to get a single game started. I'm not into match making with friends since i want to meet new players. Could you still with a honest heart recommend this game form me?

Cheers

yes (if you can find it cheap), but be open to advice and know there is a learning curve cause it is PvP. Hedgie is right on in this post. Really what keeps me coming back is the game play and the people, once you get playing with some better people it really is a great game.

If you can find it for 10-20ish dollars I recommend it if only for the player made mods and single player its worth it for that little. You could always look for the demo and try it out to, however I don't know if anyone plays it anymore but you can still do games against bots.

Unfortunately no it isn't worth the cash. For all it offers a game requires players and you won't get that with DG any more, it is mostly dead now.

It is mostly dead then why are you still here? Demigod while itdoes have it problems, it is still worth 5 -10 dollars to play.

IDK why he is here, but I'm just here because I'm bored

And whether or not it is worth cash really depends. I'm a huge cheapskate, so if I were in your position I wouldn't have bought it. Do I regret spending $40 on the game though? No, I had my good times with it.

Demigod honestly could've been such a great game. It just shows how crazy the video game industry is. One messed up launch and it was pretty much over. It had a good run, but I suggest going back to your LoL and your DotA. As for me, SC and SC2.
