Does demigod need DNS servers to maintain a connection in game?

I have a cheep ISP (XNet in NZ) would there DNS servers going down in the middle of a game cause me to disconect.

Been having connection issues in game ane wonder if changing DNS servers might fix it. Othewise its my router that i cant afford to replace.

It shouldn't (player-to-player connections are IP-based), but if your ISP's DNS server has issues, you might give OpenDNS a try.
