New (reproducable) Crash?

By on July 3, 2009 10:38:54 PM from Stardock Forums Stardock Forums

Well we all now the randomly coming "unhandled exception" crash being in lobby and sometimes during a game. but some minutes ago i observed something very annoying since last multiplayer ingame crash i had.

it is no impossible to start a single player skirmish. evertime i select opponents and click on launch i get to the loading screen with the name of the map and below that name it says "[no text]". well and seeing this means there is an unhandled exception dialog box in the background. pressing enter closes it and the game too.

it hapens now EVERYTIME. i wonder how many patches till they fix the already known crash and i wonder when i can launch a single player game again.

p.s. if i can contrinute with any further information just ask.

The [no text] crash means your game preferences file is corrupted. You need to delete it. Its located in documents/games/gaspoweredgames/demigod or something close to that depending on your OS

If you are playing with friends make sure they all delete their game.prefs too, it seems to affect everyone in the lobby when it happens so it could be one of them, and not you.
