quad reg snipe team

By on June 20, 2009 5:41:27 AM from Demigod Forums Demigod Forums

So I been wantin to do this forever but haven't cause of the taboo against demigod stacking and especially regulus stacking.

Just played a 4v4 on leviathan. My whole team was regulus, we all had heavens wrath, and we were on team speak. We lost to a group of giants down the middle while we were still war score nine. I figured we had a 50% chance of winning from the start though anyway. The other team was sort of an anti-snipe build though haha. They had two oaks, a TB, and a rook. The rook and tb were never  unescorted by an oak, so it was pretty challenging to try and coordinate our snipes perfectly enough to suprise the oak well enough to avoid him shielding.

Funny thing is that we thought we had won it cuz we had cats and both side portals locked forever by constantly teleporting around and locking them. We just failed to realize that a group of 6 giants and an oak down the left and the right were enough to kill our citadel before our pitiful amount of DPS could get them out of our base.

It was entertaining for us, but not an awesome team build. I hope it was fun for them since they did a pretty darn good job of thwarting our quad snipe + quad heaven's wrath strikes with the oak shields. The torch bearer even went as far as to get the orb of defiance.

Sounds like a hilarious game.  That being said, why not just grab one point of AF so you can AoE the crap out of those giants?  It sounds like it was a long game and if you had a good amount of gear on everyone it seems like it'd be a nightmare trying to get units near your base.

hi.

i played in that game. and yes it was very fun figuring out how to counter your very cheap team build. im surprised nobody quit that game though. you guys were very relentless in your attacks and in choosing your targets. it was a  seesaw battle all the way.  i died a couple of times but i was able to somewhat hold the lanes and manage to stay alive. had to buy lots of potions and health armors. we were lucky that we had the 2 oaks in our teams. any other demigod and i think we would have all rage quit in less than 2 minutes.

it was funny though. we were all frustrated in our ally talk.

I am suprised you even allowed the game to start in lobby.

I think this just goes to show everyone that not only are premade teams NOT OP but demigod stacking isn't either. That should have been near 2k-3k total snipe damage at the end.

That should have been near 2k-3k total snipe damage at the end.

More like 4k with 4 of them from long range.

But yes, this does just go to show that stacking DGs is not overpowered. Skill and planning will overcome even these crazy situations.

rofl it was 2-3 k in the first 30 seconds because of the fact that we all had heavens wrath too. 4 lightning bolts adds an extra 1000 AoE damage with no range limitation.

And yeah tacoguy, I gotta admit if yal didn't have the oaks that game woulda been pretty gay for your team. Now I know to make half my team oak, or maybe even queen of thorns, when I see the other team is all regulus.

but yeah congrats on beating the horrible quad regulus, premade, on teamspeak team lol

*edit*

and by the way, 4 near simultaneous lightning bolts is a pretty funny thing to see and hear.
