Favor points

By on May 15, 2009 11:38:50 AM from Demigod Forums Demigod Forums

I played a total of 5 matches now and I realized something

Whenever I buy a favor item it's not going to be safed. It means that in the next match I need to buy it again. How am I ever going to get the good favor items?

Is this a bug or something?

When you buy a favor item, that item then becomes free to buy in all of your following matches.

...unless I'm completely misunderstanding what you're confused about. D:

I can confirm have played at least 8 custom games and the favor remains pinned at 390 with no items being bought

I'm having a similar issue. I understand that once I buy an item I can repurchase it for no additional cost, but I don't seem to be making and Favor points. Maybe I'm uncertian how to earn them, but by playing 3 custom, and 1 skirmish match hasn't done it.

I must ask. Why MkrvMkrvMkrv?

Haha, alright. Long story short... Years and years ago, Diablo II came out. I bought it, installed it on my terrable computer. The game would crash and uninstall itself whenever something "big" would happen (ex. poison nova). Point of my story is reinstalling the game about 12 times a day has now burned the CD-key into my brain. Hence MKRV, the start 4 that I'd have nightmares about @_@.

I'm having a similar problem, I did like 6-8 custom games and i bought 1 favor item at the first game, but i dont get any new favor points ... so i cant buy a new favor item and the 1 I have now is .... not the 1 I prefer. Am I doing something wrong or am i bugged and because of that i can't earn new favor points ?

Favor is screwed up in a variety of ways:

-achievements awarded that have not been earned

-achievements that are earned are not saved

-favor is not saved after any match type for some users

-favor items are not saved after purchasing for some users

Well that aint nice, so I have to keep playing with this disadvantage?

Yes, until they fix it

I have this problem too.

I had a favor item and several matches worth of favor saved.

After one of the patches, that got reduced to 160 favor (!?!) and is now stuck at that number. I'm also unable to use that item in any match - it's like I didn't get it at all. Can't earn favor even though all I play is multiplayer and we win most matches. :/

All of my friends have similar problems, though some are more lucky and got stuck at higher favor levels or with items unlocked.

We're forced to host our own games and play with favor off - which is kind of fine because favor items are incredibly imbalanced and reduce the gameplay depth when enabled.
