An interesting "demigod" I had in my mind was just a scientist from the future... who stumbled upon the Demigod era in a time machine, bringing his vastly superior technology to the realm... all of the locals thought his technological devices were magic... and thus they worpshipped him as a demigod... he then gets attacked out of fear for his power by local bringands... utilizing his technology to defend himself.. he succeeds... and as the gods above watch, he gets invited to the pantheon.

He's basically a scientist form the future, who timewarped into the past... the Demigod era. He's no fighter, but he's extremely brilliant and intelligent, capable of making anything from almost nothing. He uses his smarts, technology, and cunning in battle. I would assume he would be a general... fielding an army of sysnthetic soldiers to fight on his behalf to protect himself. I can't decide if he would be a more like a Doc Brown "good scientist" from back to the future, or more of an evil megalomanical bad scientist I'd leave that up to GPG and Stardock to decide.

I can't think of a name for this "demigod" but I think it would be a very unique and awesome addition to the game.

Really good idea, never thought of this yet... His body should be covered with some crazy future-like stuff and weapons. And when he gets defeated a time warp beams him back to the headquarter. Well I've got ideas for a good one and an evil one. The good scientist learned from the faults of "his" world. An evil scientist would make illegal timewarping to gain more power for himself and to change the past for his advantage.

Awesome, yeah that would definitely be neat. ANd more than likely as you said, an "evil" scientist with more than likely attempt ruling the world with his technological superiority... he is a merely a human from the future... but the people don't know that, and he uses them as tools to his bidding.

Yeah, I've had some crashes too, mostly when trying to log into pantheon or into another game. WHile playing a game though, I don't crash.

I dunno, I'm not feeling this one.  Interesting idea, but I don't think it jives with the game's premise very well.

In the opening, it tells us the reason why these 8 were chosen to compete is because they have enough divinity left in their body to have the potential to become a god. They didnt just see these 8 guys and go, "oh, they seem pretty bad ass, lets make 'em fight each other and winner can be a god."

Call him "The Doctor".

Nah, better don't. Besides, high-tech in this game would not fit. You might as well bring in the Galactic Colossus from Supreme Commander in here, who would step on Rook without noticing. Not fun.

Haha, well considering this "demigod" is extremely intelligent, let's just assume for conversations sake, that he is evil and wants to attain that "divinity"... so what does he do? He fabricates it. He creates it. Or he happens across some ancient text about Demigods, Pantheons, and divinity and so forth... so he embarks on a quest to discover how to attain godhood, or in the scientists mind, "transcendence"... being incredibly smart and cunning, he is able to somehow channel that divinity into himself, or atleast fake it, granting him entrance to the pantheon. It's easy to come up with a way to fit him in, despite it not necessarily fitting in because of the tech focus.
