ITEMS:
Temporary Armies : These items would be rare and expensive (possibly artifact or random item on battlefield) which spawns 5-10 units onto the battlefield for 30 seconds.

Item Sets: When holding 2+ items of the same set, you begin gaining major bonuses from them.  The more items from the set, the more bonuses.
This one was inspired from Diablo 2.  To further clarify, an item set is basically a collection of unique items which belonged to a powerful person.  When brought together, it recreates the power the person once had.
If you find a part or two, they’re nearly useless.  However, once you start putting together the set you can gain some major bonuses, and so on.
These would only be found on the battlefield, and very rarely.

Arenas
Destructible & Moveable Parts - This could breathe some fresh levels into the game.
Destructible rocks which open new pathways.
Slowly rotating bridges that open shortcuts for a short amount of time.
A dam where if destroyed, causes a massive river to form blocking 1 or 2 pathways (killing everything on it at the time) and so on.

Demigods
Shape Shifter - This unit can not equip items.  Instead, it ‘makes’ them.  Each time it is attacked, it has a % chance to change into another part.
When it attacks it has a % chance to form a new weapon.  It would have 2 forms : Ranged and melee.
This one is kind of hard to explain. Basically it constantly recreates the armor and weapon it has out of any weapon or item available in the game.  Increasing the ability levels allow stronger weapons, armors, and so on.
To clarify, the item would be un-droppable and once it attacks or is attacked, is gone.

Balance & Changes
Assassins deal less damage to minions - with the exact opposite going to generals.
Generals having reduced research costs when upgrading the teams units.
Assassins having reduced research costs when upgrading misc things (towers, gold, ect)
Artifact items being more unique, instead of “ultra” shop items.
Greater difference in buyable units.
More upgrades to make critters actually useful late game
Generals based more upon supporting units than heroes/killing enemy heroes.

Questions:
Will this game ever be modable?
How were levels created?  In a modeling program (3dmax/Maya) or in another tool?
How was the water done?  I’ve never seen water done that way in a 3dgame - I’m guessing it’s animated with a water shader on it?  Or is there more going on?

Thanks!
