Hamachi Network for playing Beta together.

I just found out the max clients for a single network in Hamachi is 50. If you are unable to join it is probably because the network is full. So I also put up networks by the name of Brent's Lounge 2 and Brent's Lounge 3 with the same password.

About Hamachi

Hamachi is a client that connects computers together over a "fake" lan connection. Without getting to techinical it creates a new network device that creates a Virtual Private network creating a Lan over the internet. Since only LAN games will be in the beta Hamachi will be required to play with others online. Simply download the program here(or at the link at the bottom of this post) and follow the directions. If you are still having problemes try giving Hamachi permission for your firewall and the port for Hamachi is 8080. Also you may have to promote Hamachi to your main connection in windows. Links on how to do all these things follow. I think if everyone gets on the same network games will be easier to form games and will provide a way to see who's online and ready to play a game.

Why I Did it.

Hello I went ahead and set up my Hamachi and a network. I've tested it with two others and we have been able to play LAN games together. I'd like to invite everyone to use it if they like since my computer is always on and can always be running hamachi.

I use hamachi all the time with my friends over warcraft but the problem is, dont we have to use rooms? How do we connect to other people publically without having like a million rooms.

Well I highly doubt that Demigod Beta will have millions of rooms . If the beta LAN play is going to be anything like Warcraft 3 or other lan games you can host a game and people will see the game name and can join. What I was thinking was that if everyone was on the same Hamachi Lan it'd be like all our computers were at a lan center and we could host/join each other games without having to jump around several hamachi networks. If this doesn't work we could always come up with another a solution but if we want to join games easily we should somehow organize it as a community. Thats just my two cents.

Hate to break the bucket, but there is already three big networks out there.

Check the Hamachi Networks forum for them. And 16 is not the limit, there's 20 people in DemiGod LAN 1.

We're around 12 in Demigoddess, so we'll soon get another source for confirmation.

One hamachi network is able to handle with 50 people.

Your information is out of date, the last version of hamachi (with the new licence system) changed the maximum number of clients.
