Can't find on Wincustomize and it it was a premium suite where to download it again (not appearing in my Stardock account ... )

Jim I cannot remember the details and not sure if this even applies but was there not a fix that you and I talked about a while back for making gadgets work on a 64bit machine something about replacing a file in the 64 bit sidebar folder with the one from the 32bit folder or are we talking about standalone gadgets which are not dependent on that?

       You are correct Ken, twice.

There is a fix for the sidebar gadgets, and this thread is about regular gadgets.

Quoting RedneckDude,

BTW, I just installed Win 7 x64 in a triple boot rig.

Quoting neophil78,

Any idea why the RIP 2007 clock gadget don't work ?

RIP 2007 Clock gadget is working fine for me on 7, 8.1, and 10.

.

Which DX version do you get ?

Doesn't matter. Gadgets work on any machine, even ones that have no DX.

But I use DesktopX Pro Beta 4 (3.96).

For the record, the Win7 rig I am running the gadget on has no DesktopX installed.

Fresh install of Win 7 64 bit. Nothing added but one teeny tiny gadget.

At least now I can get some gadgets. Didn't remember which ones were the stand-alones.

Fresh install of Win 7 64 bit. Nothing added but one teeny tiny gadget.

Tested on several PC and config :

1 XP SP3 without DesktopX installed : Stardock Clock gadgets working OK

3 XP SP3 with 2 different versions of DesktopX, same result

1 Seven 32 bits without DesktopX installed : Stardock clock gadgets all working

The one with Seven Pro 64 bits (DesktopX 3.50) ! none of the Stardock clock gadgets coming with their (old) premium suites not working; wherever i put the  Gadgets folder ...On this PC all your clock gadgets are perfectly working ...   (well that's a trouble to get a terrible headache)

Let me ask, is your DesktopX 3.50 the Pro version?

If so, it won't allow anything scripted to run.

It shouldn't affect gadgets, but maybe it does.

I don't think it's the PRO version (got it with my Object Desktop subscription)

Anyway i found solution to run the RIP Clock on my Sevn Pro 64 bits : just hold the pictures from the "AppData" coming with the gadget and re did it as a widget, perfectly running

But that's not explaining why those specific Stardock gadgets won't run on it ...
