We are pleased to announce the release of the second free Demigod: Oculus!

Oculus uses the powers of lightning to aid his friends and punish his enemies. His powers include chain-lightning, the ability to re-charge the mana of friendly demigods, and the lethal capability of launching himself down on his enemies from his throne.

To add him to your account, simply load up the latest version of Demigod, logon to Multiplayer and after that, he should be available to you both in single player and in multiplayer.

Lol did you even try him?, He is awesome.

His Blastoff + chain lightning combo is serioulsy awesome.

Not to mention you can let the chain lightning "chase" your enemies when they run by just targeting an enemy near him in range

For example you can still hit your enemy when he runs behind a tower by casting chain lightning on the tower, which is great since they probably wont see it coming.

Good thing the Chain lightning got nerfed btw, he was quite OP before this patch.

 

He may lack some utility, but he is still a force on the battlefield.

Hes definantly fun to play with and challenging to play against (when the person knows what hes doing)

He's a great character, I dare say a little OP with chain and blast - he plays like an asasin with monks

 

Also, the lightning balls go from, 'ummm, right' - at level 1 to 'OMG, instant death' - at level 5 (when they explode)

When you're given something free, just say thank you. When the first reply is a negative post such as yours, do you have to wonder why Stardock would rather just move on? People thought DA 'suxed' too, but now I watch players rip me a new one with him.

imo hes REALLY fun to play with.

on that note i found that his lvl 15 skill for chain lightning doesnt work.

Haven't had time to try this out yet, has his model/animatiosn been improved? They seemed lacking compared to the rest of the demigods when I tried him with the mod.

Wow great job. Took only 10-12 months to make 2 new guys. I bet new map would take about a year....

He has never been released. He was always available for the AI and through mods, but he was never unlocked.

Well you know if Stardock and GPG were actually bigger than something like 40 people then

Plus I dont care if demigod remains unloved if GPGs attention is on SupCom 2 ^^

Oculus is nice. I bet soon we have some complaints like "he is too strong blablabla"

I believe he is very strong in a good team and very hard to beat in 1v1. His minions are tough to beat when upgraded.

Thanks for the addition. Despite some of the negative feedback I feel most of the community apprreciates your efforts. I have not tried Occ yet but played against him last night and he was a beast. Thanks again SD.
