That was a pretty good game Pacov. The intitial Sedna-UB mirror tango lasted something like 3 minutes before we dropped Trousersnake.
We get XP 1 very early, and currency pretty much as soon as possible (aroud 7:15)

Note: this move works a lot better on Cata. They don't realize they don't have time to drop that and walk there and back, so we end up losing this flag.

The four that kalel/purgespam gave up in the first 11 minutes in the oak/eb mirror match, the one on me where my heal get penid luckily, the one on trousersnake after the 4 minute dance marathon at the very start, and the early early kill on futile, and the 2v2 kill where Ryan died at the damage flag midway through. It's hard to get many kills against teams this well coordinated.
26:39 As I say that, I go in to lock the damage flag against Purgespam and Trousersnake. I miscount the countdowns and my tele out gets stunned. tshughes is my baby though, and he comes and stuns me out. We've now got giants out and all the flags. This is where we make a concerted effort to push the middle with our creeps. War score: 7643 to 6325. You guys have catas to our giants. We are underequipped in comparison, but we have xp2, curr 2, the first two blacksmith upgrades and the first armor upgrade, None of which you guys have.

The big difference, as pacov pointed out, was mostly flag control. However, we were far more effecient both with gold and with getting our citadel upgrades. At the start of the game, we already know who is going to get Currency and XP 1. We get them as soon as our warscore pops - and the other team gets them far later. We use fewer flag locks early, never use pots. There was the time trouser dropped the universal gadget and failed to get the kill, etc. And then as Pacov points out in his commentary at the link, we were just better organized. The two times after Catas that we dropped a flag, we were calling over vent for a relock, it's just that we all happened to run out of teles or locks or our ports were on cooldown - we typically know 15 seconds before the flag lock drops who is going to port in and relock it, and how much time is on the timer.
We brought in, by end of the game numbers, 112,255 gold vs 93842 for them. Thats a HUGE difference, 'especially on a map where there are no gold mine flags of the opponents you can cap. Thats almost completely caused by how much better we were at currency upgrades - maybe 5k of that difference is from kills.
Also, of course, the fact that tshughes and futileemotion won the 2v2 match on the artifact side so convincingly really helped too. tshughes is a BEAST - the last time he lost was a 4v4 86 games ago, our premade (same people) vs iamkira, orcun_BL, bierkananier, and posidenii - a game that we were winning until both Ryan and I dropped.
