You have a talking bumblebee as your avatar. I have a cool mean face avatar.

Also, Linkin Par isn't that bad of a band; some of their songs are good. It's just that the main singer sounds like a freaking girl.

You want to know why my avatar is better than the one above?  Well, for starters, the above avatar is a poor excuse for the screw attack item from the Metroid Series.  The lighting on it does not make any sense (there is a light in the upper left of the image.  However the "S" is completly flat in spite of the obviously curved surface behind it that it does not cast a shadow the way a flat raised object would on a curved dome.  The lighting on the "S" completely ignores the light in the upper left that is on the rest of it.).    The  REAL screw attack logo is supposed to have a black or dark purple ball backing, not a red one that looks suspiciously like the morph ball (including the outer ring that is only seen on the pick-up item, but not on the real morph ball form itself that has the sections like the above image).

And lastly, the game from which that particular screw attack emblem originates not only didn't actually have the screw attack in it (should have been sued for false advertising perhaps?   But I guess use of the trademark doesn't directly promise that the item is in the game) it had Kraid (who was a much cooler boss than Ridley) cut from the game.  The game, Metroid, had 2 "mini-bosses" that were Kraid and Ridley, and this was a "new idea" at the time.  It has been included in countless other action games to the point that players would feel cheated if they played a game that did not have at least one "mini-boss", or boss that isn't the 1 ending boss.  Now half of the bosses that defined modern action games (the metroid is what coined the term "mini-boss" and solidified the idea that you have more than 1 boss at key points throughout the game).   On top of that, the stupid space dragon the game which the above avatar represents has now changed in the official cannon to being one of "2 generals under the evil mother brain" (i.e. kraid and ridley are of equel importance and work for mother brain) to being the "leader" of the space pirates with the mother brain (who was like THE ending boss... one of the greatest ending bosses of ALL TIME!) lost to all but the memory of only the older hardcore fans.   So the above avatar represents a major blow to the metroid series!  a series that helped pioneer modern action games!  By representing a game that changed the canon of a series to a more modern and consistant perspective, the above avatar takes on all responcibility of said game, and every negitive point is worth 4 times more than a positive point (because you're more than 4 times likely to tell somebody about a bad experiance than you are a good one).  By changing the metroid series canon, you destroy what helped define a major part of the modern action game archetype, so by relation it will have the negitive points for destroying every good action game with "awesome bosses" in it.  THAT IS A LOT OF SUCK!

So the above avatar sucks because it destroyed the metroid series!... (logical falicies win any arguement)

Mine is awesome...

Because I used a program, to run another program that would otherwise not work on my computer, to take a screenshot of a screen that was NOT easily found on the internet through google image search, making it unique with is much better than bland and common.  I then put it into a 3rd, very expensive, program to edit the screenshot to not include what I did not want.  I changed the  background color to raise the contrast, so that way my avatar stood out more.  I made his eyes glow red, because I like the color red and while working on that I discovered I also wanted to give him a scar because that looks badass.  So I created a scar that is a dark red, because I imagine that is the color dragon scar tissue would be.  From there I further modified the boarders of my avatar image to include parts of the official Elemental: War of Magic avatars, while still holding my own 'personal' image.  And lastly, I saved it as a PNG so it could have transparent edges so it didn't look like the same boring "Square" that the above avatar is.

Thats right GoaFan77.... you're square!   I called you square!  (that should win me any fights)    Thats another problem with the one above me.

I'm guessing you are a really old school Metroid fan, because A. It is pretty much now Metroid's logo and B. It's actually the Varia suit upgrade from Metroid Prime. The Screw Attack was obviously the insperation, but still. As for the lighting, well it was an issue with the base picture, and a highly trivial issue.

As for the highly sterotypical dragon in some bizarre clothing that you call your avatar, well what can I say? The scar looks like something out of Paint.Net. The Glowing eyes have light issues as well (is it going through is eye brow?), and the transparent edges that creates the circle ruins the rectangular bordering (a portrait?). And who in their right mind would want a purple background, even if it provided better contrast?

Edit: The above was before your edit.

First, I hope the whole above post is satire but in case its not.

A. how does the Metroid series/Samus/Screw Attack logo have anything to do with Ridley?

B. Zelda had a bunch of Bosses before the final boss, and it was before Metroid.

C. As said it is not the screw attack.

D. Ridley owns Kraid and you know it. In Metroid 1 they both kind of looked stupid but after Super Metroid. Ridley was the clear winner. And actually Kraid was going to be in Metroid Prime... (though still far inferior to the awesome Meta Ridley)  see post 6 in link.

E. By your own math Metroid Prime is about 80% good.

Again, I hope by logical falicies you mean that whole section is a joke but still.

uh...  my avatar tastes better than a coin...   I've got a girlfriend that can testify.

I disagree, Kraid and Ridley are still equel.  1st off, Meta-Kraid would have kicked Meta-Ridley's butt.  (I stand that they removed him because he would have been too  hard, and replaced him with a much easier "Omega Pirate") and 2ndly the only reason Ridley got any more screentime in than Kraid was because to make Kraid a giant monster so badass it could have almost stood up to Godzilla.  It would be a great fight too, since Kraid can only be hurt inside his mouth ever sense he underwent his growth spurt, and Godzilla is very much outside his body (ultimatly though, Godzilla would have won since only mechagodzilla has ever been able to defeat godzilla).    I mean... kraid is so awesome, they had to include him in Metroid 1 and 3 TWICE because he was too awesome to only be one the screen once  (he's got a weaker clone running around in both games, if you recall.)

Off-topic:)

*not really spoilers, because I don't actually reveal anything other than "mother brain is not the ending boss of Metroid P 3" and "it ends the phazon story" the later of which was announced before the game came out but, spoiler warning anyway*   The ending boss to metroid prime 3 SHOULD have been the mother brain.  They could have cut about half the explination (or more) and it would have made MORE sense.  Nobody would question why something destroying something that obviously came after the phazon (since the phazon corrupted it) would destroy all phazon in the galaxy... because "its the mother brain"   you don't have to explain that.   It would have been better for nogistalia purposes, made more sense, would have been more satisfying (I'm not sure why the ending boss they did use was something to be feared), and would have made the ending boss of MP 3 not a complete rip-off of an important character that already exists in the series.

and yes... it was a joke (though I am seriously agrivated at Nintendo for their shift in the metroid series and some of the subtle not-really-important changes they've made to the canon since the prime trilogy and metroid 4.  Like how Metroids in the original game were freaking huge (able to engulf over half of samus's body), and extremely tough requiring nothing less than 5 missles to destroy... but in the prime series forward they are only about the size of Samus's face and can be destroyed with generic pee-shooter un-charged laser shots)

Zelda and Metroid came out the exact same year in Japan.   Zelda was out only a few months earlier (feb vs aug) however, it was Metroid that coined the term "mini-boss" or "sub-boss" even though "having more than 1 boss before the ending boss" existed in Zelda, and likely a few other games, 1st.  In my history of games class (yess I had a class on the subject) Metroid was credited for defining the modern 'requirement' to include sub-bosses in action games.    Furthermore, its ironic because in retrospect Ridley and Kraid would not be considered "mini-bosses" by modern standard dispite the manual clearly defining them as such.  Modern day expects a "mini-boss" to come mid-stage, rather than at the end of a stage or section of the game. They would be standard "bosses" with no sight of sub-bosses until Metroid 2 (or super metroid if you count all the metroids in 2 as bosses.  Metroid 3 fits the modern mid-level boss concept)  Besides....   what mini-bosses were is Zelda 1?  The dinosaurs you have to use bombs to kill?  They were more like a puzzle that could kill you than bosses.   I can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Again, it wasn't supposed to be taken very seriously.

I can actually explain that: the Zero Mission Metroids are Zebesian Metroids. The Prime metroids are Tallon metroids, and in Corruption they are Phazon Metroids. They are smaller because they are different subspeices, in the case of the Phazon Metroids they were also subject to HEAVY phazon mutation.

And that doesn't make any sense because Metroids are not native to Zebes (and should not be native to Tallon).   It is made very clear in all non-prime metroid games that Metroids are from, and only from, SR388.

This is explained in Prime 3, from the lore in the Metroid Lab: Metroids brought to different planets rapidly mutate wyhen exposed to varying atmospheres, "evolving" within a single generation & sometimes less. The Metroids' absorbtion of Phazon in the Pirate bases on Tallon IV, Aether, and Elysia/Homeworld would only speed up this process....

And a Metroid fan should recognise my avatar as the GFMC insignia from Echoes.
