Is there a definitive list of what attributes stack, and how, if at all?

By on April 29, 2009 8:22:01 AM from Demigod Forums Demigod Forums

For instance, there are several items/abilities with a +% life steal / life steal aura.

If I get a +8% and a +12% life steam item on erebus and then get his life steal aura, do they all stack? If so, how? and how much?

Same questions for critical strike

Same questions for items that basically give 'proc' effects like AOE dmg or burst dmg

Everything stacks. A few things are capped, like attack speed, but the exactly values I am not 100% on, nothing is totally confirmed because the caps are generally rather impossible to hit and are unlikely to ever happen in a normal game.

Everything Demigod that is a % is added together then multiplied by the base value. So 20% weapon damage + 25% attack damage +50 weapon damage, plus 100 normal weapon damage gives you:

(50 + 100) * (1 + 0.25 + 0.2) Weapon Damage.

I'm currently working on a website: http://www.demigoddb.com that lets you pick items and your Demigod and such and it will calculate all your stats for you. It's still under developement (Read the news on the site to get an idea of whats coming and such if you're interested), but it is coming together quickly and should help you out

Life steal and (perhaps) criticals don't stack, it randomly selects one or the other to use. For example, having an 8% and 12% life steal items will result in you stealing either 8 OR 12, not 20 (assuming health of 100).

I've never seen a critical stack either, though the percentage chance as opposed to the persistence of life steal means its harder to verify.

Go into a game against an Ai with Filthy rich, buy an Ashkandor and Slayers Wraps (10% for 4x and 10% for 2x Critical), then play for a while, you'll see a distinct lowish critical (600ish) a middle critical (1200ish) then very occasionally a combined critical of (1800+ish). Criticals do indeed stack if they occur at the same time, however this doesn't occur very often and the 2x or 4x is far more likely than the combined.

Life Steal also stacks, try the same only with Ashkandor and Mage Slayer, 12% early on is around 30-35 life steal, get both and you have 70+ life steal. Yes both items give you weapon damage which would increase your life steal but not by the visible amount.

Cleave stacks in a very weird and kinda OP way. If you play regulus which gets some AoE damage on regular attacks with Angelic Fury and buy the item with 100% chance to Cleave, it seems that everything around your target is hit twice for double your regular damage.
